Memorial Day 2011

This Memorial Day weekend I took a little trip to Forest Grove, OR which is about 20 miles west of Portland. For whatever reason this year Memorial Day seems to have taken on a more important meaning to me. I am not nor was I in the military but I know plenty of people that were. Perhaps now as I cross the 3 decade threshold in my life I am taking on a new perspective. To all our service men and women at home and overseas, I truly thank you for your courage, service and sacrifice. You are what make this country great.
